We had a great announcement on our Twitter account yesterday about Kara Scott signing a deal to be part of TeamParty.
Kara Scott’s Party Poker sponsorship includes buy-ins to top poker tournaments around the world plus the television presenting starting with the Premier League IV next month.
Kara will also be a regular blogger here starting from today.
This is my first blog as a member of Team Party and I’m very excited to be writing it. I’m going to be blogging here regularly and chatting about the tournaments I play and where I’m presenting TV projects.
The announcement about my joining PartyPoker has just gone public and I’m really stoked about how 2010 is going to play out.
I really love my job as a TV presenter and have been so lucky to work on a huge variety of projects that I’ve loved with people I respect and admire, both in the UK and USA.
I’m based in North America now and will be travelling over to Canada a lot so that I can play the Canadian events. I grew up in Canada and spent most of my life there and so it’s going to be great to get home more often. My parents are certainly pleased!
I’ve just finished 10 years of living in the UK and that also feels very much like home to me so I’m a sort of Canadian/British hybrid expat living in the USA while I’m working out here. It’s the best of all worlds!
When I first became involved with poker a few years ago, I managed to get quite lucky and win a Party Poker event called the Sport Stars Challenge. It was my first big result and so it feels very natural to be signing with them to play more live tournaments with them behind me.
I’ll be keeping track of how I do here on this blog and recording the ups and downs of poker life. I’ve been very lucky so far in my poker career to get some good results and I’m hoping that with work and application to the game, I can improve my skills and show my appreciation to PartyPoker for their fantastic support for me!
Stay tuned to the PartyPoker blog for more interesting bits and pieces from the poker world from Kara Scott in the near future.
