Kara Scott: Getting Ready for the Premier League

There have been some ridiculous storms where I’ve been living in Southern California, complete with tornado warnings and everything, and so it seems like a good time to build a fire, stay indoors and read/watch poker videos.

I’m finishing Doyle Brunson’s newest book “The Godfather of Poker” at the moment and wow, that man has some incredible stories to tell. Right before starting his book I read Victoria Coren’s autobiography ‘For Richer, For Poorer’ which I really enjoyed. She’s a fantastic writer and I really respect the honesty with which she tackeled the subject of her time in poker. A very different read from Doyle’s book but both definitely recommended if you want a change from reading poker textbooks.

The Premier League is coming up in Vegas soon and I’m really excited about it. It’ll be my first hostessing duty as a fully fledged member of Team Party and I can’t wait.
