Kara Scott: Happy Valentine’s Day

Posted by Kara Scott in Kara Scott on February 15, 2010

Kara Scott Valentine's DayHappy Valentines Day everyone!

We’re all still at the M Resort in Las Vegas so a few of us on the TV crew decided to get a drink in the wine bar last night together, for Valentine’s Day.

Somehow, we managed to wander into a single’s mixer and it was…. crazy! There was a lot of wine being drunk so people had…er… lost their inhibitions by the time we showed up after work.

Between the couple grinding up against the wine bottles and the swingers salsa dancing, it was pretty eye opening! We had a funny time though even if I did bail early.

The Premier League has been a lot of fun but the days do run long, starting at 9.30 when I meet up with the best makeup artist in the world to get ready for a day taping for the TV cameras and finished when we do the last bits after the match has stopped.

We’ve seen some fantastic play as well. I’m really enjoying watching the players navigate their way through the intricacies of the league point system. It’s already starting to throw up some interesting situations.

The players get points based on where they finish in a match. So it’s 16 for the winner, 11 for the runner up and then 8,6,4,3,2 and 0 for last. After all the league matches are played, the top 4 players go through to the final, the next 4 play heads up for the final two spots at the 6 seater Final Table and the rest are relegated.

We’re just over halfway through, so there’s a lot more poker to come!

Kara Scott is the co-host on the High Stakes Poker TV show.
