German player HUSO___FU is now the proud owner of a Porsche 911 Black Edition thanks to The Big Draw promotion!

His brand new set of wheels is super rare – it’s one of only 1,911 Black Editions created by Porsche. The car comes with a whole heap of cool features too, like a numbered plaque on the glove box and a 341bhp, 3.6 litre engine that gets the Porsche to 62mph in a mind-shattering 4.9 seconds.

We caught up with HUSO___FU to hear all about how he won and what his plans are now he’s got the keys to a $77,000 car.

How did you start playing at PartyPoker?

I started playing at PartyPoker four years ago after reading about it at PokerStrategy.

What did you do when you found out you’d won a Porsche in The Big Draw?

I remember that day well – it was ten in the morning when I realised I’d won. I kept checking my account and restarting the software because I just couldn’t get my head around it.

Once I realised I’d definitely won I called my girlfriend and my mum to tell them all about it. After that I decided I wanted to celebrate so I met up with friends and we drank a lot of champagne.

What car do you drive at the moment and how long have you been driving?

I actually don’t drive a car, but I’ve had a driving license for nine years!

How do you think winning the Porsche will change your life?

The car is not going to change my life much, I haven’t become a different person and it hasn’t changed me! Obviously, sometimes I’ll be able to get from A to B quicker…

When your Porsche arrives what’s the first thing you’re going to do?

For starters I’ll go on a small road trip around Europe with my girlfriend. I also want to make sure we drive in Germany because there are no speed limits there!

Do you have any plans for any big tournaments soon?

Yes, in the future I will play live tournaments more often. I’ll probably play at the EPT but I haven’t really thought that much about it yet.

Poker’s very own anti-social behaviour order said: “I can’t wait to get to Vegas and crush the field in the PartyPoker.com Premier League.

For sure there are some big names playing but I have to be a huge favourite. They need to know that I’m coming with my sharky hat on and it’s gonna be a whole week of soul owning from Full Flush.”

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “We did a lot of soul searching rather than soul owning before deciding to invite Luke into the Premier League. The fact is that he is a great player and he will certainly ignite the line-up and we haven’t even completed it yet!

It will be particularly interesting to see how he comes off in a verbal sparring battle against the Poker Brat himself, Phil Hellmuth.”

Full Flush joins Hellmuth, JC Tran, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Roland De Wolfe in the line-up. Is this too much of a step up in class for the famous sandwich loving online high stakes sledger? We can only wait to find out!

Here at PartyPoker we are constantly striving to give you the best online poker experience in the industry.

Yesterday we released the latest upgrade to our poker software that we believe will enhance the player’s user experience.

A few bugs have been fixed and we have tweaked a few other areas, after listening to your thoughts, that will ensure that your time at PartyPoker is even more enjoyable than ever before.

Here are the latest improvements included in the upgrade:

The conditions have been fixed to prevent players from “rat-holing” (leaving a table with x amount of money and returning with the original buy-in after a short period away from the table).

Active windows will no longer steal focus when typing in the notes.

Players can select the keyboard shortcut option without getting disabled.

The “hide full tables” feature is now fully functioning.

After a disconnection or crash, the “auto-post blind” box will be unchecked and the player will sit out.

The “join waitlist” option will appear if only one seat is remaining at the table.

Pop-ups associated with buy-in have been embedded into the buy-in window to reduce pop-ups and prevent players from losing their seat.

The issue with new tables in MTTs opening automatically has been resolved and players will automatically be sat at a new table. The new table may not always be in the same position but this will be fixed in a future release.

Other new features added

You now have more flexibility to choose which bonuses you want your Partypoints to apply to, meaning that if you are actively working on a bonus and a new bonus becomes available, you can choose to work on the new bonus or the existing one without forfeiting either. Once a bonus is complete, you can return to the other bonus as long as it is still within its validity period

The hand histories will now let you review up to 100 last hands played on a table.

Another improvement is the auto-check, we have deemed it fairer to our players to alter the system so that it will now auto-check rather than fold a hand if a player does not respond in time.

More and more of you want faster-paced games that don’t last as long so we have introduced 9-handed tables STTs and Omaha games.

The last feature added in the new upgrade are Super Speed games which will offer quicker action with only 9 seconds to act. With less time than ever to make your decisions you will need the sharpest of poker minds to succeed at these tables.

So there you have it, the latest software upgrade at PartyPoker. If you notice any more bugs or have some suggestions as to how we can improve your overall experience at our tables then please get in touch.

You can either comment below or tweet your message to us @partypokernews.

You might have seen the recent news that Paris Hilton is reported to have had her beloved blue Bentley vandalised with reports suggesting eggs were thrown.

It is not the only problem the heiress has had with her luxury four wheels as back in April 2006 it was suggested the multimillionaire had lost a Bentley Continental GT in a poker game. Back then, PartyPoker.com offered her the chance to win her car back and now, more than three years later, we’re repeating the offer. The rules are simple – Paris takes on poker legend Mike Sexton in a heads-up poker tournament for the chance to win a Bentley.

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “Forget one night in Paris, we’re offering her one night to win a replacement for her car. Fortune may be on her side in many ways but when it comes to Bentleys it certainly doesn’t seem to be the case so we’re confident Mike Sexton would win.

“We challenge her to take us up on the offer. Three years is a long time in showbusiness and we’re sure she’d jump at it now – it is a simple offer for the former Simple Life star. Following the original offer in 2006 the likes of professional poker player Clonie Gowen also made public challenges to the heiress but so far Paris has resisted.

“It is reported that in January this year Paris met Lady Gaga but she didn’t show the pop sensation her poker face. We encourage her to not walk on eggshells and show it to Mike Sexton instead.”

Come on, Paris. A night with Mike Sexton? How can you say no?

We’ve definitely got our hands full with the Million Dollar Hand. Our latest promotion has proved to be a phenomenal success since launching just a couple of days ago. In fact, after just 24 hours from its launch on Wednesday (11th March), 3,214 players had won a hand, 4,617 winning hands had been paid and more than $50,000 had already been paid out to our eager players.

After 48 hours we’d seen the creation of 3,916 pairs, 424 two pairs, 203 three of a kinds, 32 straights, 23 flushes, 13 full houses and six four of a kinds.

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “At the moment we only have the figures for the first 48 hours but we’re pleased with the positive feedback this promotion has received from players. Importantly, we haven’t been on the phone to our insurers yet as a royal flush hasn’t hit, but we’ve still got until the 22nd March to walk the tightrope.”

In the Million Dollar Hand, players at our real money tables will get a playing card for every 15 PartyPoints they earn up until 22nd March. They will then receive a guaranteed cash prize once they’ve built a five-card hand and they reveal a pair or higher.

Will you get a prize-winning hand? Find out more on the Million Dollar Hand promotion page now.

The Philippines is the place to be this week for quality poker action with the arrival of the Asian Poker Tour in Manila.

This six-day poker and party festival has become one of the most popular land-based events on the calendar and for 22 players who won packages for the extravaganza on PartyPoker.com, this promises to be a trip they’ll never forget.

Our line-up is led by recent PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Championship winner Rory Rees Brennan from Dublin and features players from all over the world who won their way through to the Far East via online qualifiers that have been running since December last year. Each $6,000 prize package includes accommodation at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel, buy-in for the main event and $2,500 spending money.

The main event runs from 29th January to 1st February but parties on the Asian Poker Tour have reached legendary status; they’ve even won an award they’re that good. One bash the online qualifiers will definitely not want to miss is the FHM-backed player’s party on 31st January. The talk is that the magazine will be bringing some its cover models to act as hosts.

We’ve got our own blogger covering this fantastic event, posting exclusive updates, features, gossip and photos right here throughout the duration of the tournament. We’ll even try to get him into the FHM party. Follow all the news right here from tomorrow (27th January).

There’s even more money to be won on PartyPoker.com from now one, thanks to the brand new Monthly Million.

From Sunday, 1st February, then every first Sunday of the month after that, a massive $1 million will be up for grabs in our latest action-packed tournament.

If that huge prize pool isn’t tempting enough, our convenient start time means our UK and European players could be in the money before bedtime, sometimes an issue with other tournaments.

Here are the details:
• Tournament name: Monthly Million
• Time: 12:45 ET / 17:45 GMT / 18:45 CET
• Date: Sunday, 1st February

The Monthly Million uses a championship blind structure and there’s a $600+$40 buy-in. If that’s a little bit more than your budget allows you can always go through the qualifiers, starting from as little as $1. Find out how to book your seat on our Monthly Million page.

This is PartyPoker.com’s biggest Sunday tournament to date so don’t miss out.
