Surfers for Poker

Not every PartyPoker tournament takes place online. PartyPoker is helping crown the king of No-Limit Hold’em amongst the X-Games elite. Over the past month, athletes from various extreme-sport disciplines — surfing, wakeboarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, and freestyle motocross — have been competing in a series of qualifying poker tournaments to win their way into the championship of the PartyPoker.net Big Throwdown. The final qualifiers are going down this week, with the “main event” taking place in LA during the Summer X Games on August 4. (The same day “Day 2″ of another big main event gets underway.)

The PartyPoker.net Big Throwdown will air on Fusion TV and the Outdoor Life Network.
